Licensed Physical Therapist
Marcus W. Trejo is a Licensed Physical Therapist. He is a graduate of The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and has over twenty years of experience as a licensed physical therapist. While at UTHSCSA he was President of his class, worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Human Anatomy Laboratory, and delivered the commencement address for the graduation ceremony of the School of Allied Health Sciences. He completed his clinical training at Audie Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX, West Texas Rehabilitation Center in Abilene, TX, and Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, TX.
After graduation, Mr. Marcus W. Trejo started his career at Brackenridge Hospital and eventually worked in a variety of settings where he developed strong management and clinical skills. He served as Administrator for Healthsouth Outpatient Rehabilitation Centers in Austin and was a member of HealthSouth’s National Spine Program implementation team. His career took him to Orlando, Houston, and San Marcos, TX. Marcus W. Trejo returned to his hometown of San Antonio several years ago and comes to SASpine after serving as clinic director and physical therapist at Snowden Orthopedic and Occupational Rehabilitation’s South San Antonio clinic.
Marcus has post-graduate medical training that includes:
Pediatric and Adult Sports Medicine, Pilates Training, Mainland and McKenzie Manual Therapy Techniques, Post Operative Spine Rehabilitation, Geriatric Orthopedics, Joint Replacement Rehabilitation, Burn and Wound Care, Taping Techniques for Musculoskeletal Injuries, Shoulder Rehabilitation and Knee Injuries.
